CONFIDENTIALITY AND PRIVACY:

Confidentiality will be maintained in this relationship according to the Code of Ethics of the National Association of Social Workers. You can access a copy online if you want details.


I will not write professional letters or assessments. I have ceased to do so in my career; if you are in a court, social security, or divorce situation where you may need therapeutic progress tracked and documented, please
find an alternative counselor. I handwrite my notes in a spiral notebook during session because I cannot remember everyone’s details. I do not use any kind of medical software. Due to the cash only policy, there will be
no insurance records

For a public example of maintaining your privacy: If we see each other, I will only say hello, if you say hello first.

FEES:

Cash only: like I mentioned before, keeping this simple and minimizing all records for everyone’s benefits. Payment for services is due at the beginning of the session, when you walk in the door, in cash. $70. – First session free – There are no refunds under any circumstances.

TELEHEALTH:

Teletherapy refers to the provision of mental health services from a distance, using interactive technologies (audio, video or other electronic communications) between a counselor and a client who are not in the same physical location.

  • Benefits include: convenience; improved access & efficiency; & decreased interruptions to in-person counseling services
  • Limitations include: managing the technical requirements; maintaining security and privacy; private conversation spaces; management of mental health and medical emergencies; or that teletherapy may not be a good match for you
  • Risks include: transmission of your protected health information being disrupted or distorted by technical failures; information transmitted may limit clinical assessments; the transmission of your information interrupted by unauthorized persons; the electronic storage of your protected health information accessed by unauthorized persons; & others.
  • Teletherapy encounters are scheduled appointments during my regular work schedule. Appointments will have the same fees as in-person sessions.
